  • Amy Grand commented on the blog post Relevant Links and What They Mean To You   14 hours, 59 minutes ago

I have to wonder about having all those links on your web site, seems to me that it would become very cluttered. When I go to a web site and I don’t just mean a real estate web site I look for it to be user friendly. I don’t want to spend a [...]

  • Rich Dansereau commented on the blog post ADFA won’t issue loans against first time homebuyer tax credit   16 hours, 34 minutes ago

While I understand that there are a couple of other programs available, as cited in the letter from the ADFA, it seems that this could be another valuable tool for potential homebuyers, many of the various housing markets, and the overall economy. The implementation timetable seems to be the stumbling block. I don’t know if [...]

Hi Wendy, you’ve taken the feelings and frustrations that I’ve had over the past few months and put them into very accurate words! I’ve lost two listings in my neighborhood in hte last two months and it has been very frustrating. I will definitely get more pro-active in getting back in touch with [...]

If you think about it, you are working FOR your client. Therefore, they are your employer and you are their employee!

  • Brigita McKelvie commented on the blog post Bethlehem to Restore Historic Homes   2 days, 15 hours ago

    Rich,
Children tend to learn better with hands on activities. If the historic places are gone, our children will only have history books to learn from. If they are able to see rather than read, they are better able to picture what happened in the past.

This is exactly what the consumer needs to have on hand. I don’t think the buyers or sellers realize that it is an employer/employee relationship.

These are definitely some great questions for both sellers and buyers to keep in mind when selecting the Realtor they feel can do the best job for them. When the selecting of a Realtor is put in terms like these, it makes it easier for consumer to make a rational, non-emotional business decision. Great post!

  • Rich Dansereau commented on the blog post VA Streamline Refinance using an ARM (gasp!)   6 days, 11 hours ago

The type of loan you get is really a very personal decision. What might be the right loan for a young, single professional might not be what is right for an older couple getting ready to put a kid through college. While I don’t think that mortgage professionals should steer consumers to increase profits or [...]

Speaking to your audience in terms that are generally understood and on topic will definitely help to keep readers coming back. Writing about your website’s general topic also contributes to your SEO in several ways. If a consumer does an online search for “VA mortgage Marietta Georgia” but the majority of my articles are about [...]

  • Amy Grand commented on the blog post Short Sales   1 week ago

It probably reflects what a seller is willing to accept but the short sale price has to be approved by the bank and if the seller is trying to get some cash from the transaction the bank won’t accept the offer. You have to dump the entire short amount and no money to the [...]

  • Brigita McKelvie commented on the blog post First Time Home-Buyers Seminar   1 week, 1 day ago

The home buyers need to be educated about the home buying process. Once they are informed, they feel better about purchasing a home.

  • Brigita McKelvie commented on the blog post First Time Home-Buyers Seminar   1 week, 1 day ago

Many home buyers are afraid of taking that first step. We need to explain the process to them so they will feel more comfortable with it.

  • Brigita McKelvie commented on the blog post Pre-Approved? Pre-Qualified? What’s the Difference?   1 week, 1 day ago

    Fred,
I apologize for that error. But, my point was that pre-approvals are more reliable than pre-qualifications.

  • Brigita McKelvie commented on the blog post Pre-Approved? Pre-Qualified? What’s the Difference?   1 week, 1 day ago

    Rich,
Even some real estate agents are confused by these terms.

  • Rich Dansereau commented on the blog post Pre-Approved? Pre-Qualified? What’s the Difference?   1 week, 1 day ago

This is great info. I know that many prospective home buyers are confused by these terms and use them interchangeably when they are really quite distinct.
