Link Farming is just another form of Spam.

Since 1999, link farming has be a black hat technique that many “SEO Experts” use in garnering more links to their sites as well as their clients sites. The issue with this is that the client does not understand the ramifications that search engines such as Google can and will implement on your site if caught participating in link farming. With that said, I could tell you of a few sites whose owners/webmasters can tell you exactly what will happen because they have been busted. Most of them have lost their PR rankings with no way of getting it back for at least 6 months.

What is Link Farming?

That is a great question. Instead of me going into detail on this issue, I decided to take a video where the CEO of SEOmoz.org explains it in detail. Take the time to watch this as it will definitely be a benefit to you.

Now that you have watched the video, I hope that you understand what can happen to your site once you are caught. Gaining SEO placement and rankings in the search engines are important. However, they are not so important that you loose any PR rank that you might have. If someone states that they can get you a ton of links, make sure of how they are going to do this. In the case of our real estate network, we pride ourselves that we have never and will never purchase any links to PREP. If you have any questions on link farming, please contact us.

link farming is no good, there are so many honest ways to build natural links back to your site.

just by providing good content your site can go viral, and build links organically on its own.

Jessica, content will take you to all the links you will need.
