Since 1999, link farming has be a black hat technique that many “SEO Experts” use in garnering more links to their sites as well as their clients sites. The issue with this is that the client does not understand the ramifications that search engines such as Google can and will implement on your site if caught participating in link farming. With that said, I could tell you of a few sites whose owners/webmasters can tell you exactly what will happen because they have been busted. Most of them have lost their PR rankings with no way of getting it back for at least 6 months.

Now that you have watched the video, I hope that you understand what can happen to your site once you are caught. Gaining SEO placement and rankings in the search engines are important. However, they are not so important that you loose any PR rank that you might have. If someone states that they can get you a ton of links, make sure of how they are going to do this.
