@ Sy - Because I believe that thinking before you write, and especially before you hit that publish button, is the exact reason I have started this series with this topic. It is important as you say that people who post anything to the internet, articles, photos, videos, etc. realize that these posts speak directly to issues of who they are. I have often heard people complain that prospective employers, as part of the screening process, search out Myspace, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media profiles. These profiles are then used as part of the evaluation of the suitability of a prospective employee to a particular job or work atmosphere. These complaints seem more like regrets on the part of someone who put info on the internet they wish they hadn't.
Thanks so much for your input on this post.

"Think before you blog" is most likely the most important advice for new bloggers but it doesn't stop with the setting up of the blog, it is also a valid advice before posting a new blog post. I always compare blogging and other social media activities like Twitter with sending postcards. There is no "postal secret" with postcards, everybody can read them. The same with blog posts, everybody with computer / internet access could potentially read them. Your boss, your clients, your ex-boss, your neighbors... SY
