Embed Google SERPs In Your Site

Google Search Embed Google SERPs In Your Site

One of the daunting feats that we all want to do is to keep people on our page. One of the newest ways to do that is to embed Google SERPs (search engine results pages) in your site. This way, when someone comes to your site looking for your informative post and want to do research, they can with the click of the button and never have to leave your site. Now, before you all say that this is old news, let me go into it deeper. The picture to the right is actually OLD news. However, that is not quite what I am talking about here.

For those of you that do not know, Google now has a feature through Adsense that allows for you to have the Google search engine results pages show up inside your website. This way, a reader or consumer can stick around on your site for some extra time. The one thing that I am not keen on with this product is the fact that it has to be at least 800 pixels wide. For most people, this is a majority of your content display. For people that employ the 1200 pixel themes, this really would not be a problem if you have a single sidebar or two that are less than 400 pixels total.

Google Embed Google SERPs In Your Site

In closing, it is still a great tool to add to your site if you want to keep people hanging around. If you click on the picture to the left, you will be able to view a site that has this in action. If you notice, the header is still active. If you want to see it in action for yourself, visit SEO Info Now. Mastering Search Engine Optimization

10:17 am in Uncategorized by Danny Thornton

Over the last month I have discussed mastering search engine optimization with many of our members of this online real estate network as well as clients of R & D Art. In those link Mastering Search Engine Optimizationconversations, it always seems to end with me telling them that to master SEO it is not all about the meta keywords that are in your site. Actually, that might be the weakest link to mastering SEO and getting the search engines to recognize you. With that said, I think the biggest problem is that people think they need to master Google and forget about Alexa, Yahoo, and Bing. Regardless what my personal feelings are on the search engines, I still have to pay homage to them.

If you notice, I have linked to several keywords in my first paragraph. However, only one of those keywords is something that I really key on for our real estate based site to show up in. That is: real estate network. Over and over, when we blog, we want to make sure that we are keying on this phrase. With that said, it is not certain that phrase that will drive readers to our site. We make sure that our articles are packed with keyword enriched content. I have said it many times before and I will say it again; CONTENT IS KING. No matter where you go on the net, anyone that knows anything about SEO will tell you this. Great content will win every time.

One of the things that I see that people do is have a very short post on their site or even worse, a recipe, and they hope that it pushes them up because they wrote a blog. Unfortunately, writing a recipe on a real estate site really is not going to carry much weight with the search engines. People might think you are more down to earth and come looking for more recipes, but frankly, the search engines won’t. It is the same with many topics that do not pertain to your main topic. The great thing about the main blog for PREP is that we can discuss SEO, SERP, blogs, social media, social media marketing, financing, the housing industry, and a world of other topics and still be point on. The great thing with a Realtor® is that they can discuss local events, neighborhoods, dining, schools, shopping, and much more and still be right on target. However, if your blog is about USDA or FHA, home staging, or home inspections, appraisals or home repair, then most readers are going to want the articles to be about that. They do not want to sort through all the fluff to get to the meat.

Here is one thing that I also see that people have a tendency to do; they write on a level that not many can understand. So many times I have had to tell bloggers to “dumb it down”. For those that do not understand that, it just means that you are probably writing on a college or doctoral level. I do not really know many people that understand that. The key element in this is to write on a secondary or grade school level. It means leave the 6 syllable words at home. With that said, don’t sacrifice your article for the sake of this procedure.

I would have to say the next thing that I see in bloggers that ask me why their sites are not showing up at the top of search engines has to be the lack of consistency. In the last month I have talk to two different bloggers in reference to this fact. One had 8 articles published and the other had 6. Both wondered why they could not be found on the first 3 pages in the search engines. Well, frankly, if I were only writing 8 articles over a 6 month period, I would not be found either. Blogging is not something that you can do just when you feel like it and magically appear. You have to work at it. And by working at it, I am not referring to 20 hours a week. However, being able to sit down and post 5 or 7 post during your downtime and have them automatically publish is a great Wordpress Mastering Search Engine Optimization feature. Not many platforms can supply that fact. But, even if you do not have that opportunity, 2 to 5 hours a week can still net you the front page of keyword searches where as neglect cannot.

Another thing that I notice that people have a knack for forgetting about has to be linking. Rich wrote an article about linking the other day and in it he talked about linking to some of your older articles. If you have not read that post, I recommend that you do. I have caught myself forgetting to use links in post, so it happens and I can understand that. However, if we want to get pushed up in the search engines, we need to link like crazy and I am not just talking about in our articles on this site. We do it to all of our sites. Use links to your other sites through your signature and then you can make sure that you have it covered all the time.

Now, this is where most people stop when it comes to SEO. PREP does not. This is where the power of WordPress extends to help push your SEO even further. This real estate network has a feature that allows for you to send trackbacks to other links that you have used in your post. This is a great way to get internal links built for your site, or maybe external links built using another site you own. Regardless, it takes linking to another level.

The last thing that I will talk about is the added feature of the All In One SEO Pack. For those of you that do not understand what this provides, let me state it like this. The All In One SEO pack gives you the added ability to optimize pages, post, and your site individually. Here are some features:

  • Advanced Canonical URLs

  • Fine tune Page Navigational Links

  • Built-in API so other plugins/themes can access and extend functionality

  • ONLY plugin to provide SEO Integration for WP e-Commerce sites

  • Nonce Security

  • Support for CMS-style WordPress installations

  • Automatically optimizes your titles for search engines

  • Generates META tags automatically

  • Avoids the typical duplicate content found on WordPress blogs

  • For beginners, you don’t even have to look at the options, it works out-of-the-box. Just install.

  • For advanced users, you can fine-tune everything

  • You can override any title and set any META description and any META keywords you want.

  • Backward-Compatibility with many other plugins, like Auto Meta, Ultimate Tag Warrior and others.

In closing, mastering SEO is not something that will happen over night. I have seen Black hat tricks and grey hat tricks in SEO and I have seen both cost site owners their place in search engines when they are caught. In the long run, it is so much better to just do it the right way.

Sitemaps, SEO, and Your Website

10:50 am in SEO by Danny Thornton

In today’s time, Sitemaps are important to the search engines and to your website. I could leave it at that and hope that all of you take my word for it based on the SEO success this real estate network has. However, I am not gullible enough to believe that I can just say it and people will believe it. Most people do not even know the importance of the sitemap, so they think that it is no more than a waste of space. In reality, sitemaps are much more than that. In today’s article, I am going to attempt to explain the importance of having a sitemap of your website.

prepbanner Sitemaps, SEO, and Your WebsiteBack in July, Chris Fisher of StagersLIST Websites wrote an article entitled Site maps for the search engines. In her article, she talked about the importance of having a sitemap. While I agreed with her article, I did not realize the importance much less the difference in sitemaps that are HTML versus sitemaps that are XML. Since our real estate network had it’s first issue with our sitemaps, I started seeing what the differences are.

The main issue deals with the three major search engines; Google, Yahoo, and MSN (BING). Google uses XML for their sitemaps and the main reason I like these is because they run in the background. However, Yahoo and MSN uses HTML sitemaps, and these are not running in the background. I guess the first thing that we must understand is what XML and HTML files are. XML stands for EXtensible Markup Language and is a markup language much like HTML. It was designed to describe data and uses a DTD (Document Type Definition) to formally describe the data. In the case of HTML, it stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and it is not a programming language, it is a markup language, similar to that of the XML files. For most people, you are probably still lost. However, for the sake of this article, we are going to leave the description where it is and just understand they are different.

Lighthouse BeaconGoogle uses XML files for their sitemaps. In fact, with WordPress and WordPress MU, there is a plugin that is called Google XML Sitemaps. We have worked hard to fix any issues with this plugin for our network as it is one of the tools that we use in our SEO. What I love about it is that it works in the background and is seamless. However, with Yahoo and MSN, they are using the HTML files, therefore they require a page that is active. This was the original reason that web designers always added a sitemap when they built a new site. While the XML file has the ability to submit to Yahoo and MSN, it is the belief of this web designer that having a XML and a HTML sitemap will give you the best returns for your website.

Let’s take a look at some of the benefits of having a sitemap:

  • Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all the pages can be found.
  • This is especially important if a site uses Macromedia Flash or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links.
  • Most search engines will only follow a finite number of links from a page, so if a site is very large a sitemap may be required so that search engines and visitors can access all content on the site.

In closing, Sitemaps are very important to the success of your web site. Ultimately, these files tell the search engines what pages within the site need to be indexed. It can also help tell the search engines what pages or articles are new. In a nutshell, it provides communication between the search engines and your web site. In the near future, I truly believe that this will be the way of submitting new content to search engines.

Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward?

4:00 pm in Blogging, Facebook, Linked In, SEO, Twitter, marketing, members, social media by Danny Thornton

the more you know Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward?I was talking to a potential client yesterday and one of the questions that I asked her was “Is your web presence staged forward?” The answer that I received from her was what I expected though I actually did not expect for her to be quite so frank. She knew that her web presence was basically non-existent. She had a facebook logo Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward? profile, a twitter 56x16 Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward? account, and a company based website. But, even with that, she still could not be found in google logo 57x21 Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward? searches. Her question to me was a simple one, “WHY?” My answer back was not so simple. An hour later she understood what she needed to do to change this issue. Now, the ball is in her court and she has decisions to make. So, let’s take a look at what I explained to her.

Regardless what tools you are using on the Internet, you might might not have a web presence to speak of. Many people think they do because they tweet all they can, or they update their Facebook status message, or they post updates on linked in Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward?, or even better, they write a new article on their blog. However, what some people do not realize is this MIGHT not be helping you. The biggest reason for this is that the person has no strategy or plan set in place and they go forth aimlessly.

ar123506238577742 Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward? Before I get in to deep, let me give you an example of someone that is doing it right. Fred Chamberlin came to me a while back and asked if I could build a site for him. Soon, it turned into 3 sites and he also became a member of this real estate network. Fred knew that his hard work would not pay off if he did not start tying everything together. He also knew that he would not be successful in sourcing business if he did not have a plan. Together, we mapped out a plan that would work for Fred. Since that time, Fred has come to me again for a temporary site for the mortgage company where he works, Alpine Mortgage. The page is centered around the Million Dollar Stimulus Challenge that Alpine Mortgage has issued out to other lenders in the Lane County, Oregon area. In creating this site on our real estate network, Fred needed to come up in Google searches quickly. So, we took all of this into consideration and helped him construct a plan. In the first day, he was on page one with three out of the ten keyword searches that we came up with. He also came up on page two for three of the other keyword searches out of the ten. That gave him six out of ten Google keyword searches that managed to land on the second page or higher from the start. This entrenches his web presence. So, let’s get back on track here.

searching Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward? If you do a Google search using ten keywords or key phrases that potential clients looking for your service would likely use, where do you come up? Another question to ask yourself is, if someone tweets your article or site, does that tweet show up in the same Google searches? Moreover, if they post a link to your article on Facebook, does it also show up in your Google searches? Most people cannot answer yes to this question. If you are one of them, then you might want to contact your webmaster and ask them why not? Sometimes it is their fault and sometimes it is your own fault. Now I know many people do not like to be told it is their fault. But, sometime, somewhere, you have to start accepting that is very well might be your fault and find out how to fix it.

searching 2 Is Your Web Presence Staged Forward?Unfortunately a lot of people do not have the time or energy to fix these problems. There are ten spots on the front page of each and every Google search. There are thousands, maybe even millions of webmasters that are trying to get their clients there. There are some people who are their own webmasters and are attempting the same thing. Remember, in the end there are ONLY ten spots. Is your web presence staged forward enough to grab one of those spots in several searches?

Google, Indexing, SEO, and Love…Lotta Luv

Hopefully the title made you smile, that was its intention. It is also a title loaded with high placement keywords. Now before I am accused of keyword stuffing, which is a definite no-no, all of those keywords are actually what this post is about! In a competitive industry like real estate it is important to take advantage of all the tools that are available to you. This means not only having a website and/or blogsite that looks good and is easy for visitors to navigate but having a site that is optimized to return high in search engine results. You can have the most beautiful site in the world but if nobody visits, it is like having a Picasso hanging in a closet.

crawling spider Google, Indexing, SEO, and Love...Lotta Luv

So how can you determine if your site is loved by Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines? One of the best ways to evaluate how loved your site is by the search engines is by determining a general idea of how often your site is indexed. When your site is indexed it means that the search engine spiders have crawled your site and cataloged what they have found there. Everything from text to media can be indexed. This indexing is how search engines return results when you (or anyone) perform a search on the internet. An easy way to determine how often your site is indexed is to take advantage of the alert system that many search engines offer, i.e. Google Alerts. When your site has been crawled and new information has been indexed you receive an alert via email notifying you of what has been found. Another way to get an approximation of how frequently your site is being indexed is to perform periodic searches for your specific new information after you have posted it; search for what you have posted. Once your information has been indexed it should return in search engine results. Indexing algorithms are proprietary so it is impossible to determine an exact frequency. For example, The Arkansas REALTOR® wrote a post entitled The Three Rs Every Realtor Needs to Embrace, and it was indexed very quickly. See the following screenshot using the periodic search method talked about above.

index speed Google, Indexing, SEO, and Love...Lotta Luv

You want to be indexed as frequently as possible as this helps you to return high in searches. The old mantra that content is king can be specifically tied to indexing. The more frequently you add original or syndicated material to your site, the more often your site will be indexed. If content is king, then the queen has got to be your keywords. Keywords are what the spiders will literally ‘key on’ when determining what the new information on your site is about and how it should be indexed. Unlike your meta keywords, which give an indication of what your overall site is about, the keywords in your articles or posts are more specific. So when you are writing your articles be conscious of sprinkling keywords throughout your post that you believe visitors will use in their searches. This does NOT mean stuffing your posts full of keywords while sacrificing the clarity and integrity of your post. Keyword stuffing is penalized by most search engines. While opinions on keyword frequency vary, many SEO enthusiasts agree that keywords should compose no more than 9-10% of your total word count. As this figure is only an estimate, there really is no need to use some mathmatical formula to make sure you fall within these parameters. You should be able to use your common sense to know if you are stuffing your posts.

Positive Real Estate Professionals as a network is being indexed mutiple times throughout the day. This means our members’ articles are being indexed very fast and very frequently. How quickly and how frequently are you being indexed?

Robots Meta And The PR Bleed!

3:13 pm in Blogging, SEO, marketing by Rich Dansereau

blood drop google pr Robots Meta And The PR Bleed! In a world where the competition for search engine dominance is fierce, achieving and keeping a high Google PR (Page Rank) is of the utmost importance. PR is an indicator of your site’s placement in search queries; you know how high you come up on a given Google search. Achieving a high PR is not something that happens overnight. The algorithms used to determine PR change on a regular basis and are secret and proprietary.

There are things that anyone can do to increase PR. Writing content (blog posts) of at least 100 words per post on a regular basis is one of the best ways to increase your PR. Using keywords in your post, words that relate to your post and your business, is another way to improve your PR. These are two simple tools in that often used SEO acronym that can help you to increase your PR; there are many SEO tools that should be used. Once you have achieved a respectable PR, you want to do what you can to maintain it.

One of the best tools in helping to maintain your PR is the Robots Meta. The Robots Meta plugin is active on all Positive Real Estate Professionals members websites. This excellent plugin prevents PR bleed. you may be wondering, what is PR bleed? Pr bleed occurs when all the pages connected to your page are left as ‘index, follow.’The problem with leaving all your pages as ‘index, follow’ is that your PR from your main site is bleeding into other pages and sites. For example, you may have noticed that sometimes a person’s profile page or login page may have a PR. Most of the Google juice that is creating this PR is from the bleeding from your main page. In essence your pages, which are what a profile page, login page, and any other page that is not your main page is considered, are using your main page’s PR to increase their own. This should sound similar to linking and backlinking, which is beneficial, except that this bleeding is internal and is not beneficial. Linking is good, bleeding is not. To prevent PR bleed use the Robots Meta tool to allow you to decide how your PR is concentrated and used on your website.

robots meta Robots Meta And The PR Bleed! When you are finished writing your post or creating a page, but before publishing it, look to the far right just below the categories tab and you will see the Robots Meta tab. This tab has four options with the default being ‘index, follow.’ For the blog posts you write this is the option you want to select. What this means is that Google will index your post and your links and will create follow tags. This is the most permissive of the settings which allows your PR to bleed onto your links, this creates quality internal and external links in your post. The second option is used quite often when you are creating pages, a bio page for example. While you want the page to be indexed in Google you don’t necessarily want it to be leeching the PR from your main site. The third option is the ‘noindex, follow’ which does not allow a particular page to be indexed by Google but does create quality internal and external links. And the last option is ‘noindex, nofollow’ which basically creates a page that is only accessed by a direct method. This direct method may be by clicking on a menu tab on your website or a link you provide. These pages are not searchable and do not provide links.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend utilizing this feature. You work hard to generate and keep a good PR. This is an easy way to concentrate your PR on your main site. Stop the bleed, use Robots Meta.

Duplicate Content, Generic Content, Scraped Content, Syndicated Content…What’s The Diff?

9:19 am in Blogging, SEO by Rich Dansereau

One of the great things about Positive Real Estate Professionals is all the functionality that can be incorporated into your PREP website; if you would like to view some of the general functionality geared toward making your site more visitor friendly, simply visit the Test Account. Keep in mind that the general functionality is by no means exhaustive nor does it include SEO tweaks. Much of the work done to make your PREP site more friendly to the various search engines and visitors is done behind the scenes.

This brings me to one of the main points of this post. The myths that surround duplicate content, generic content, and syndicated content. First, let’s use Google’s definition of duplicate content as they are the most authoritative and widely used search engine:

Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. (Source: Deftly Dealing With Duplicate Content)

Google is very clear and direct on the issue of duplicate content and penalties stating, “Having duplicate content can affect your site in a variety of ways; but unless you’ve been duplicating deliberately, it’s unlikely that one of those ways will be a penalty. (Source: Demystifying the “duplicate content penalty“)” If however you add new and unique content that enhances the scraped or republished content you will not be penalized for duplicate content. This brings me to what I call generic content. Generic content is generally mass produced and available for use by anyone. Some of this content is quite good and some is not. The point is not the quality of the content but its widespread use on many different sites with no unique content added to it by the site’s owner. What this means is that Google sees the hundreds (or more) websites that use this content as using duplicate content and penalizes them because there is often no author credit given and no link to the content’s source. This brings up a rather hotbutton term, ‘scraping.’ Scraping is a relatively new term that generally refers to the redistribution of content without the webmaster’s consent and as such does not negatively affect the person being scraped (Source: Duplicate content due to scrapers). In journalism and academic circles, scraping would be considered plagiarism. You may be wondering how using this generic and scraped content is different from syndicating your own content. There are a couple of major but important differences that I have already alluded to. First, syndicated content is not ‘copied and pasted’ onto a website it utilizes an RSS feed to acquire the content. Second, syndicated content always provides a link back to the source of the feed.

Don't Clone Me BRO!

Now for the possible penalties. According to Google:

Duplicate content on a site is not grounds for action on that site unless it appears that the intent of the duplicate content is to be deceptive and manipulate search engine results. (Source: Demystifying the “duplicate content penalty“)

To me the terms ‘deceptive’ and ‘manipulate search engine results’ are subjective but warrant a closer look. Deceptive could include trying to directly or indirectly take ownership of another person’s content. Google is very efficient at finding the original source of duplicate content, generic content, and scraped content. This original source is then indexed as the authoritative URL for that content and appears at the top of the search results. The site which uses the content with or without the consent of the webmaster is directly penalized with lower Page Rank (PR) which in turn means the site is also returned lower in search engine results. If you have ever visited one of these article farm websites you will often notice that the site which holds these generic articles has a pretty good PR while sites that use the material generally do not (or have a lesser PR than if they did not use the generic material). The manipulate search engine results would seem to imply some level of deception. Some sites will publish content that is basically keywords that are loosely strung together to create a post. In some instances there is not even an attempt to disguise a keyword page or post as an article and you basically have a bunch of keywords masquerading as content. This practice, termed ‘keyword stuffing,’ seems to fit under both the deceptive and manipulative categories. It is widely believed that keywords should not collectively comprise more than 10% of the total words in your article because Google penalizes sites that attempt to manipulate search results by keyword stuffing.

We spend numerous hours daily reading articles from authoritative websites. Some of this information is applicable and beneficial to the PREP network and some is not. We then begin testing various theories and techniques that we have encountered or devised ourselves. This testing is generally never seen by nor does it impact the members of Positive Real Estate Professionals and visitors to the network. If there is a chance that something may affect the network, we will conduct this testing on other sites that we maintain for this very purpose. Your site’s function and optimization is one of our main goals because this is how your site is found and if your site isn’t found, what is its purpose. I hope this post helps to clarify questions you may have had regarding content.

Putting the Cart Before the Horse

12:17 pm in Blogging, SEO, social media by Danny Thornton

social media networks Putting the Cart Before the HorseOver the time that I have spent on the internet, I have seen many people employ this strategy when it comes to blogging and social media. The first thing they do is take the proverbial “big bite” out of social media and sign up for all of the networks they can not really understanding what they can do for them much less knowing how to use them. Many people think that they can accomplish so much more by doing this. However, it goes back to the old way of thinking that the fact of the matter is, ‘less is really more.’

We can use quotes like putting the cart before the horse, leaping before looking, or speaking before thinking, and they all can refer to what people do wrong in the social media avenues. While social media is meant to help you succeed in gaining exposure, it can also help bury you just as fast if used wrong. So, now that I have told you what people are doing wrong and what the consequences are, would it be nice to hear what path should be taken? Fair enough. Now let’s move forward and get the horse in front of the cart where it belongs.

cart before horse 300x210 Putting the Cart Before the HorseBefore you take the time to join the possible 200 social medias that are out there, you need to first create a strategy. So many times I have seen people get involved in Facebook only to get sucked in to all the games and extras that can really become distractions with a system like that. Instead of networking with potential clients, they are defending their Mafia family. The same thing can be said of Twitter. While Twitter is great to keep up with updates from people, it too can be a little addictive when it comes to tweeting. You can also get spammed to death if you aren’t careful. Digg, Stumble Upon, Reddit, Mixx, and more are great for sharing articles. However, if you continuously share your articles, the other users in these systems can bury you so deep that there is basically no getting out.

So, with all of these road blocks, how does someone navigate through the land mines to get themselves recognizable on the internet. Well, I think the first part of being recognizable on the Internet is what I state in my article Internet Business Requires Internet Presence; creating a unique brand. Once you have been able to do that, then it is time to start blogging. Putting together a bunch of articles and just throwing them out there is not really smart. You have to think about what it is you want to say and then put it into words that people can understand. The last thing anyone wants to read is an article that talks over their head. Speak to the masses, not to the few. Once you have accomplished that, then it is time to move into the social media springs.

If you have the ability to be on a network like Positive Real Estate Professionals, then you have 50% of your job done for you, maybe even more. The network is designed to feed into Twitter and Facebook automatically as well as allowing you to tweet right out of your blog dashboard while never having to open another internet window. The biggest work that you have to do is set up your two accounts and then let it do most of the work for you. sisyphus Putting the Cart Before the HorseHowever, it does not stop there and this is where most people fail. In either of these systems, you have to create a following. It is great that PREP has their followings and you get to use theirs, but you also have to have your own as well. That means that you have to get into the system and locate not only people that would be interesting to you, but people that are interested in what you have to say. Once you do that, then you are ready to move forward.

Now, for the people that do not belong to a network like PREP, then you have even more work to do because you have to carry the entire burden yourself. If your system that you use can not be automatically integrated, then you have to share your articles with each site. Once you have figured out that part, it is up to you to get into the social media systems that you join and create a mutual following. The associations that you create will become important and you need to take this into account; if the person that you want to connect to is not very active, then they will actually just weigh you down. What do I mean by that? Well, when a person is not active and they sit on your list, then you need to get a least one more person to pick up the slack that the inactive one is creating. Now, before anyone jumps up and throws something at me, I am not saying to not friend these people. I just want you to understand what you are getting into in terms of social marketing.

So, in an effort to recap this article, let me give you an outline.

  • Unique Branding
  • Fresh relevant content
  • Join a few social networks and learn the ins and outs of them
  • Be active in the social networks
  • If you do not want to be faced with this task, then pay the $100 and join a network like Positive Real Estate Professionals and let them do most of it for you.

What Can Positive Real Estate Professionals Do For Me?

10:36 am in Blogging, Business Plan, SEO, marketing, social media by Danny Thornton

Since Rich Dansereau and myself started Positive Real Estate Professionals – A Real Estate Network back in March, we had a vision of being able to help each and every member gain more exposure on the Internet. Since the launch in March, we have been able to do just that. Members that have started writing articles on their blogs are seeing almost instant Google alerts. First and foremost, PREP is designed to make your goal of becoming more visible on the Internet easier. Our goal here is for you to write posts on your blog and let PREP do all the other work. However, if you are currently running a blog and do not want the added post that it takes to run 2 blogs, we can syndicate your blog right into PREP and make sure that you are not getting hit with the double content whammy. At the same time, we are set to increase the Google juice that you are so thirsty for. And we can get your articles indexed quickly in Google. But, that is just the tip of the iceberg.

PREP has the ability to integrate with social networks like Twitter and Facebook. You can check us out on both of these sites by clicking the links on each of them. PREP has 815 followers in less than a month of being on Twitter and has 145 on Facebook. However, the business page on Facebook for PREP has 943 fans at the point of this article and the Networked Blogs page currently has 173 subscribers to the feed. As a site that is less than 4 months old, this is impressive. But, it does not stop there as PREP has built it’s RSS feed subscribers as well. And this is just one of the ways that PREP helps to drive traffic to you. Their increased involvement in the Social Media networks help to aide you in gaining more and more exposure. Add to all this the low Alexa ranking for a site this young and you spell out a successful union when you decide to join Positive Real Estate Professionals.

Top this with the ability to network with other professionals that you can learn from as well as share ideas with and this just becomes another benefit.
